Abstract

The container for medicaments comprises two spaces for receiving medicaments of two different types of administration. The first space is formed by a bag (10) for receiving, for example, transdermal plasters. The second space contains a press-through package (41), which is fixed in the manner of a sandwich between two parts (32, 34) of the box, with individual dosage containers (42). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a drug container, especially one for transdermal patches and other single-dose administration forms.

Transdermal patches are known forms of administration that release drugs slowly and constantly through the skin. Such a known patch containing an estrogen is for example described in GE-A-2 093 694. It provides estrogen transdermally which bypasses the liver, i.e. the "First-Pass" effect of liver metabolism is avoided. Preferably, patients who use such patches should simultaneously take tablets with a progestogen. For example, in a period of 28 days the patient may have to use 8 plasters and 12 tablets. When tablets and patches are delivered, it is difficult to remember and to know when a new patch and when a tablet must be taken.

With the invention, a container is to be provided which makes it easier for the patient to ensure the "synchronous" treatment with plasters and the ingestion of, for example, tablets.

According to the invention, this task is solved by a medicine container, designed as a box which has a closable pocket for receiving a number of small articles, for example medicines, the pocket being closable with a flap lid and which has enough space for a push-through package with single doses of a medicine, and this medicine container is characterized by the push-through package being attachable to a part connected to the flap lid and foldable inwards in such a way that the individual doses can be easily removed from the push-through package.

In addition to tablets, single-dose administration forms include hard or flexible gelatin capsules, ampoules, drops and so on.

A number of blister packs or bags are described in the patent documents GE-A-689 631, DE-A-1 803 236, TJS-A-1 474 248, DE-A-2 516 720, DE-A-2 714 420, CE -A-516 450 and EP-A-210 820. Neither of these patents discloses the combination of a blister pack with a pocket for transdermal patches.

I patentskriftene GB-A-1 236 675, GB-A-1 086 653, GB-A-974 179, GB-A-467 606, US-A-4 664 262, US-A 3 743 084 og US-A-3 567 013 omtales forskjellige beholdere for tabletter. In the patents GB-A-1 236 675, GB-A-1 086 653, GB-A-974 179, GB-A-467 606, US-A-4 664 262, US-A 3 743 084 and US-A -3 567 013 mentions different containers for tablets. However, none of these patents discloses a separate pocket for transdermal patches. None of the containers disclosed in the aforementioned patents seem to be able to contain transdermal patches and tablets at the same time. The bottom of the container in US patent 4,664,262 may possibly contain plasters, but there is no way to take them out again.

In the following, the invention will be explained with the help of an embodiment shown in the drawing in the form of a box.

Fig. la viser et emne for esken i utbrettet tilstand, Fig. la shows a blank for the box in the unfolded state,

fig. lb viser perspektivisk en gjennomtrykkpakning, fig. lb shows in perspective a push-through gasket,

fig. 2 viser perspektivisk den åpne eske og fig. 2 shows the open box in perspective and

fig. 3 viser perspektivisk den lukkede eske. fig. 3 shows the closed box in perspective.

The box in fig. 2 and 3 are formed from that in fig. la shown subject and the one in fig. lb showed pressure seal. In this way, the workpiece is folded around the folds indicated by dotted lines.

Before folding the parts 32 and 34 around the fold line 33, the compression seal 41 is inserted as shown in fig. lb. The holes 35 of the parts 32 and 34 are mirror images of each other. The tablet container 42 has a pattern similar to that of the holes 35, so that the tablet containers and thus the tablets can be placed exactly in the holes 35. After folding, the fields 32 and 34 are glued or welded to each other, respectively, with the overlapped pressure seal 41, depending on the material (cardboard or plastic). It is also possible to choose between a removable adhesive and/or plug-in connection, which enables an exchange or replacement of the (consumed) push-through gasket. The pack can then be used for several treatment cycles. For the production of releasable adhesive compounds, adhesives are used which, on the one hand, only provide a limited adhesive force and, on the other hand, enable the parts to be loosened and glued together several times.

Fields 12 and 14 form the front and back walls of the finished box for the pocket 10, fields 16 and 18 each form a side wall, field 20 forms the bottom and fields 23 and 36 form the closing lid. Fields 22, 24, 26 and 28 form dressing flaps. The field 38 forms a slot.

Derefter gjennomføres brettinger rundt de tilsvarende falser respektivt i vinkel på 90° To form the pocket 10, the flaps 24 and 26 are first folded on the side wall panels 16 and 18. Then folds are carried out around the corresponding folds respectively at an angle of 90°

(loddrett til emnets plan) oppad i rekkefølge lask 28 -bunn 20 - lask 22 - sidevegg 18 - fremvegg 14 - sidevegg 16. (perpendicular to the plane of the workpiece) upwards in order lask 28 - bottom 20 - lask 22 - side wall 18 - front wall 14 - side wall 16.

The flaps 28 and 22 will thereby lie on the back and be glued or welded together with it. The two flaps 24 and 26 in the pocket 10 can now be pressed against the base 20. They prevent a gap from forming between the side walls 16, 18 and the base 20.

Lommen 10 lukkes ved at delen 30 med tablettbeholderen 42 The pocket 10 is closed by the part 30 with the tablet container 42

I denne stilling er lokket sikret mot utilsiktet åpning ved innskyving av stikklasken 38 i slissen 40 i en lukkestilling. is folded towards the lid 36 and this is then folded 180°C downwards. In this position, the lid is secured against accidental opening by pushing the plug 38 into the slot 40 in a closed position.

The pocket 10 holds the number of plasters that are necessary for a treatment cycle, as well as an attached packing slip with all necessary information about the drugs and their intake. The lid 36 can also be printed with instructions for intake in short form or contain, by means of an attached label, which makes it easier for the patient to synchronize the intake of the medication, when, for example, a patch is to be used and when a tablet is to be taken. This type of connection of information and container has the advantage that it cannot be lost. Additional information such as, for example, 1st day and 2nd day etc. can also be printed on the push-through seal bearing part 30 assigned to the tablet containers 12.

The shown embodiment of a medicine container according to the invention is only one possible embodiment of the invention. Many other embodiments are possible. It is essential that the container simultaneously contains two spaces for two different types of administration forms, on one side for example transdermal patches and on the other side for example tablets. If the container is designed as a box, other "subjects" can of course also be selected than the one in fig.1a.
