Description
Diazotyperings-materiale som på et underlag bærer et belegg som inneholder polycykliske lysfølsomme diazoniumsalter.
Denne oppfinnelse angår diazotyper-ingsmateriale som på et underlag bærer et
belegg som inneholder diazoniumsalter med
forøket følsomhet overfor synlig lys. Mer
spesielt angår oppfinnelsen diazotyperings-materiale som inneholder diazoniumsalter
av 7-substituerte amino-2-primært-amino-fluoren-forbindelser med forøket følsomhet
overfor synlig lys.
Den nyttbare lysfølsomhet for p-amino-benzen-diazoniumsalter med formelen
hvor R, og R2 er hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, sub-stituert alkyl eller aryl eller satt sammen med nitrogen danner en heterocyklisk halvdel som morfolin eller piperidino, og X er et anion, antas å komme fra bidraget fra den substituerte amino-gruppe i et reso-nanssystem som: Denne resonans har som effekt at den minsker den normale vibrasjonsfrekvens i molekylet og gjør at det absorberer lys av lengre bølgelengder, som er mer praktisk å utvikle og behandle i kommersielt utstyr. Den absorberte energi forårsaker nedbryt-ning av diazogruppen med en frigjøring av nitrogen og et tap av muligheten for å danne fargestoffer ved kopling. Dog er området for maksimum lysabsorbsjon for disse p-amino-benzendiazoniumsalter for det meste ved 350—400 m^, noe som er nokså nær ultrafiolett. Disse forbindelsers følsomhet overfor lys av enda lenger bølge-lengde kan økes ved å intensivere den bathokromiske veksling eller «red shift» som forårsakes av resonansen. En måte å oppnå dette er å øke resonansveien for eksempel slik:
Dessverre har slike enkle bifenyl-systemer ikke gitt brukbare produkter.
Vi har funnet ut at ved å bruke en metylen-(-CH2-)-gruppe som broforbindel-se, så kan det ved egnede pH-betingelser fremstilles polynukleære diazoniumsalter som har maksimum absorbsjon i det syn-lige område av spektret. Det ble fremstilt noen salter som hadde maksimum absorbsjon ved den høye bølgelengde 515 m |i. Denne egenskap, som gjør saltene purpur-farget, gir dem høy følsomhet overfor synlig lys og gjør at man kan bruke diazosystemer på felter som hittil har vært utelukket for disse typer forbindelser, som f. eks. for-størrelser av originaler. Andre viktige ka-rakteristika som denne nye klasse av diazotype-forbindelser viser, er at de har en nærmere tillempning for en ortokromatisk respons for synlig lys og en mye mykere gradering enn hva som har vært mulig med de vanlige diazoforbindelser som har vært utledet fra p-fenylendiaminer og de har god motstand mot våt utfylling av det fargede bilde.
Disse polycykliske diazoniumsalter som kan anvendes i vår oppfinnelse er diazoniumsalter av et amin valgt fra gruppen som består av 7-tertiært amino-2-primært-amino-fluoren og 7-sekundært-aminofor-bindelser. Disse forbindelser er brukbare som følsomme stoffer i diazotyperingsma-teriale av både 1- og 2-komponenttypen.
Typiske diazoniumsalter av 7-substituerte amino-2-primært aminofluoren-forbindelse som ikke har andre grupper i fluorenringen og som er brukbare i denne oppfinnelse kan antydes ved følgende for-mel:
hvor Rj er hydrogen, alkyl, som f. eks. metyl, etyl.propyl, butyl, amyl eller liknende, hydroksylalkyl, som f. eks. hydroksyetyl, hydroksypropyl, hydroksybutyl eller liknende, aryl fra bensenserien, f. eks. fenyl, tolyl eller liknende, aralkyl som benzyl, fenetyl eller liknende, R„ er alkyl, som f. eks. metyl, etyl, propyl, butyl, amyl, eller liknende, hydroksyalkyl, f. eks. hydroksyetyl, hydroksypropyl eller liknende, aryl
fra benzenserien, f. eks. fenyl, tolyl eller liknende, aralkyl som benzyl, fenetyl eller liknende, Z representerer atomer som er nødvendige for å fylle den heterocykliske 6-ring, dvs. morfolin, piperidin, piperazino, thiomorfolino, etc. og X er et anion som halogen, f. eks. klor, brom eller liknende, sulfat, fluoborat og dobbeltsalter med sinkklorid, kadmiumklorid, tinnklorid og liknende.
Fluoren-kjernene i den ovennevnte struktur kan naturligvis inneholde forskjellige uskadelige substituenter enten i aromatringene, f. eks. i 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 eller 8 posisjonen i fluorkjernene. Typiske substi-euenter av denne type innbefatter alkoksy-grupper som metoksy, etoksy, propoksy, n-butoksy, tert.-butoksy, octadecyloksy, etc., alkyl-grupper som metyl, etyl, propyl, tertiært butyl, 2-etylhexyl, octadecyl, etc, halogen som klor, brom, fluor, etc, acyl-oksy-grupper som acetoksy, propionoksy, etc. og liknende grupper.
Eksempler på slike forbindelser er 7-dimetyl-amino-2-fluorendiazonium tetra-klorsinkat, 7-dietylamino-2-fluorendiazo-nium klorsinkat, 7-dipropylamino-2-fmo-rendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-amino-N-2-hydroksyetyl-N-metyl-2-fluorendiazoni-um klorsinkat, 7-bis(2-hydroksyetyl)-amino-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-dibu-tylamino-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-benzylamino-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-aniliono-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-morfolino-2-fluorendiazo-ni-um klorsinkat, 7-dimetylamino-3-metoksy-2- fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-dietylamino-4,5-dibutoksy-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-dipropylamino-3-metyl-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-morfolino-3- tertiært-butoksy-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat, 7-benzylamino-2-fluorendiazo-nium klorsinkat og liknende..
Disse forbindelser kan fremstilles ved å la 7-nitro-2-brom-fluoren reagere med de forønskede aminer, f. eks. morfolin, di-metylamin, dietylamin, etanolamin, benzyl-amin, anilin eller liknende og så katalytisk redusere den resulterende 7-nitro-N-substituerte fluoren-2-amin til 7-amino-N-substituert fluoren-2-amin og så diazotere dette primære amin.
Som et typisk eksempel ble N,N-dimetyl fluoren-2,7-diamin (J. Org. Chem. 23, 680, 1957) fremstilt ved en katalytisk reduksjon av N,N-dimetyl-7-nitro-fluoren-2-amin (J. Org. hem, 27, 3643, 1962).
7-dimetylamino-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat ble fremstilt ved å løse 10 gram N,N-dimetylfluoren-2,7-diamin i 167 ml
fortynnet HC1 (1:1). Løsningen ble behandlet med Norit avfargings karbon, filtrert og filtratet ble avkjølt i et isbad. Til den rørte løsningen ved 0—5°C ble det til-satt dråpevis 7,4 ml natriumnitritt, 5M. Løsningen ble rørt i 15 minutter ved 5— 10°C og behandlet med 13,4 ml sinkklorid-løsning (66—67 pst.). Den resulterende blanding ble rørt i en time og bunnfallet ble filtrert fra, suspendert med aceton, filtrert igjen og tørket under redusert trykk.
Diazoniumforbindelsene kan brukes som én-komponent diazotyperings-materiale, i hvilket tilfelle fremkallingen ut-føres ved å føre det eksponerte diazotyperings materiale gjennom et alkalinsk bad som inneholder den koplende forbindelse. Dette kan også gjøres med to-komponent diazotype-materiale hvor fremkallingen ut-føres med ammoniakk etter eksponerin-gen.
Vanlige koplende forbindelser som brukes i fremstillingen av diazotype-materiale kan anvendes, og i denne forbindelse kan man nevne 2,3-naftalen-diol, 2-naftol-3,6-disulfonisk syre, floroglucinol, l-(7-hydr-oksy-l-naf tyl) -biguanid, 1,8-naf talendiol, resorcinol, octylresorcinol, 3-metyl-l-fenyl-pyrazolon, a-resorcyklisk syre, H-syre, ace-toacetanilid og liknende. Emulsjonsløsnin-gene kan inneholde forskjellige tilsetnin-ger som er vanlige ved fremstillingen av lysfølsomme diazotypi materialer. Dette innbefatter metallsalter for å intensivere bildet av fargestoffet, som natriumsulfat, sinksulfat, sinkklorid, stabiliserende forbindelser som thiourea, thiosinamin, nafta-lentrisulfonsyre, syrer som virker retar-derende på en for tidlig kopling av to-kom-ponentsystemet, som f. eks. eddiksyre, bor-syre, tartarsyre, hygroskopiske forbindelser som glycol, glycerin, fuktende forbindelser som saponin, laurylsulfat, kerylbenzen sul-fonat, oleinsyreamidet av N-metyl taurin og liknende forbindelser. Den foretrukne pH, spesielt for én-komponent materiale, ligger i området fra 3 til 7 ettersom man i dette område får maksimum følsomhet overfor synlig lys.
Det basisstoff som den anvendte emul-sjonsløsning pålegges, kan være noen av dem som tidligere er foreslått ved bruk av diazotype-materiale. Eksempler på slike er høy-kvalitets bøttepapir, bomull, rayon, stivelsesfylt klede, spesielt hydrolysert cel-lulose, triacetat film, polyetylentereftalat og liknende.
Man vil forstå oppfinnelsen bedre ved å lese gjennom de følgende eksempler.
Eksempel 1.
7-dimetyl-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat ble pålagt et papir fra en løsning av 0,7 g diazo i 100 ml vann som inneholdt 0,25 g sitronsyre. Belegget ble tørket i et damp-kammer i 5—10 minutter og eksponert gjennom en trinnvis fortynnet gjennom-lysningskilde for bestråling fra en 100 watts wolframlampe ved avstander og eks-poneringstider som varierte mellom 33 cm og 4 minutter og til 12,7 cm og 1,5 minutter. Det eksponerte papir ble fremkalt i en fremkaller som hadde følgende sammenset-ning:
Et godt ikke-utflytende bilde ble dannet på en ren hvit bakgrunn. Et standard fuktig prosesspapir som var gjort følsomt med p-amino-N-benzyl-N-etylbenzendiazo-nium klorsinkat ble dekket, eksponert og fremkalt ved den samme tid og på samme måte som det ovennevnte diazomateriale, og man fikk ingen akseptable kopi, bak-grunnen var nesten så mørk som bildefla-ten.
Eksempel 2.
En del av det papir som ble fremstilt i eks. 1 fra 7-dimetylamino-2-fluorendiazo-nium klorsinkat ble eksponert i 5 minutter til et fire ganger forstørret bilde fra en flerfarget 35 mm original. Fremkallingen av det eksponerte papir ga som i eks. 1 gode positive bilder. Dette viser brukbarhe-ten ved kopiering av et forstørret bilde hvor diazo-forbindelser utledet fra p-feny-lendiamin ikke kan brukes på denne måte.
Eksempel 3.
En prøve av det belagte papir som inneholdt 7-dimetylamino-2-fluorendiazo-nium klorsinkat ble eksponert under en positiv farge-transparent for bestråling fra en kvikksølvlampe. Prøven ble så fremkalt med en vandig løsning av 2,3-naftalendiol og natriumkarbonat. De oppnådde kopier reproduserte i ensfarget blått alle detaljer i den flerfargede original.
Eksempel 4. I
Den følsomme løsning ble pålagt et høy-kvalitetspapir og tørket. Bildene fra disse emulsjoner hadde en betydelig bed-ring i tetthet sammenliknet med de bilder som ble dannet med den samme sammen-setning ved å bruke diazoforbindelsen fra N,N-dietyl-p-fenylendiamin.
Eksempel 5.
Fremgangsmåten er den samme som i eks. 4 med det unntak at man som følsomt stoff brukte 7-morfolin-2-fluoren-diazoni-um klorsinkat.
Eksempel 6.
Fremgangsmåten var den samme som i eks. 4 bortsett fra at man som følsom forbindelse brukte 7-anilino-2-fluorendiazo-nium klorsinkat.
Eksempel 7.
Fremgangsmåten var den samme som i eks. 5 bortsett fra at man som følsom forbindelse brukte 7-benzylamino-2-fluoren-diazonium klorsinkat.
Eksempel 8.
Fremgangsmåten var den samme som i eks. 3 bortsett fra at man som følsomt stoff brukte 7-bis(2-hydroksyetyl) amino-2-fluorendiazonium klorsinkat.
Claims (4)
1. Én-komponent lysømfintlig diazo-typeringsmateriale som på et underlag bærer et belegg som inneholder et diazo-niumsalt med følsomhet overfor synlig lys, karakterisert ved at nevnte diazo-niumsalt innbefatter diazoteringsproduk-tet av et amin valgt fra gruppen som består av 7-sekundært-amino-2-primært-amino-fluoren og 7-tertiært-amino-2-pri-mært-amino-fluoren.
2. Lysømfintlig diazotyperings-materiale ifølge påstand 1, karakterisert ved at nevnte tertiære aminogruppe er dimetylamino-gruppe.
3. Lysømfintlig diazotyperings-materiale ifølge påstand 1, karakterisert v e d at nevnte tertiære aminogruppe er en morfolinogruppe.
4. Lysømfintlig diazotyperings-materiale ifølge påstand 1, karakterisert ved at nevnte tertiære aminogruppe er en dietylamino-gruppe.
