Description
Anordning ved høstemaskiner. Device for harvesting machines.
The present invention relates to a device for harvesting machines, especially mowing devices for green fodder.
What distinguishes the invention is the following combination of features known in and of themselves: a mower blade placed at the front of the harvester which extends across the machine's direction of movement, a relative to the machine's direction of movement behind the mower blade and parallel to this rotatably stored driven rotor which serves for collecting the harvest material cut with the knife, and which has collection devices passing over the field (impact devices), as well as a rotatably driven knife rotor with the collection rotor in an outlet channel for dividing the harvest material thrown up by the collection rotor to the knife rotor. Such a device is primarily intended for cutting or cutting green fodder which will later be ensiled, as it entails many advantages. Thanks to the mower blade, it is possible to mow the plants so that their roots are not damaged, i.e. that the plants are not pulled up by the roots, which is often the case with the now very common cutting with a hoe. With the collection rotor, the cut material is thrown up to the knife rotor, without stones being torn along with it. When the material is thrown up by the radially protruding arms of the collection rotor, at least the largest part of the green lining's stems are broken. In the knife rotor, the stalks are further divided, broken apart and crushed. After this treatment, the green fodder that is thrown out by the knife rotor through the outlet at the upper end of the machine is transferred to a subsequent loading wagon, in a disintegrating state that makes it possible for the ensiling acid, after the material has been introduced into a silo, to penetrate into the inside of the stems. Thanks to the interaction between the collection rotor and the knife rotor, a good fan effect is obtained which ensures a good flow of the goods through the machine. Because the roots of the green fodder are largely spared when cut with a mower blade, the subsequent growth is good, which is of course a great advantage when the cattle are to be released onto the cut fields after cutting.
2 viser anordningen i perspektiv, skrått forfra. The invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing, where fig. 1 shows a vertical longitudinal section through a device according to the invention, and fig. 2 shows the device in perspective, obliquely from the front.
The device's stand 1 is provided with a drawbar 2, with which the machine can be connected to a tractor or other suitable towing vehicle. The driving force is taken from the tractor's gearbox (not shown) via a shaft 3, a coupling 4 and another shaft 5 to a gearbox 6 on the stand 1. The output shaft of this gearbox 6 carries a pulley 8, which with a belt 9 drives the shaft 10 to a collection rotor 11 (see fig. 1) inside the harvester's housing 12, located on one side of the stand 1. Power is taken from the shaft 10 for the operation of a mower blade 13 located in front of the collection rotor 11. The device for power transmission to the mower blade 13 is not shown in the drawing. Above the pulley 8 runs another belt 14, which drives a pulley 15 on the shaft 16 of the knife rotor 17 in a cutting device 18.
The collection rotor 11 is provided with impactors 19 movably attached to its hub, which during the operation of the rotor extend out through an opening 20 at the lower end of a mantle 21 which encloses the rotor, as they pass in the direction of the arrow 22 over the ground surface 23, when the harvester is pulled over this in the direction of the arrow 25. Harvest material that has been struck by the mower blade 13 is shown in fig. 1 denoted by 24.
The rotor 17 of the cutting apparatus 18 is provided with mainly radially arranged knives 26, which are arranged in axial rows and which, when the rotor is working, pass through the space between a number of stationary counter-holding knives 27, which with their inner free end are directed towards the center of the knife rotor 17. The blade rotor is driven in the direction indicated by arrow 28. The housing 29 of the cutting apparatus, which is connected below to the upper part of the casing 21 of the collecting rotor 11, is provided at the top with an outlet 30 for harvested material divided in the cutting apparatus. At the outlet 30 there is according to fig. 2 arranged a nozzle 31 to direct the divided material down onto a subsequent loading wagon (not shown). The position of the counter-holding knives 27 can be varied and locked by means of a device generally denoted by 32.
The device is carried over the ground with running wheels 33 (not shown in Fig. 1), and its height above the ground can be adjusted by means of a device 34 in such a way that the impact members 19 will move with them from the ground 23 practically all the harvest material 24 which is been cut or struck with the mower blade 13.
When the device is pulled over the ground 23, it is cut on this growing green fodder, which is then thrown up by the impact members 19 on the collection rotor 11 to the cutting device 29, where the material is grabbed by the knives 26 and divided against the counter-holding knives 27. Thanks to the strong air flow that is created, partly by the collection rotor 11 and partly by the knife rotor 17, the divided crop material is blown out in a stream through the nozzle 31. Already with the impactors 19, the crop material is processed so that the stems in the green fiber break and crack, which is particularly important, as the ensiling liquid can then more easily penetrate into the stems.
Sometimes it is desirable that the harvest is not divided too much. In this case, it may be appropriate to swing the counter-holding knives 27 all the way to the side (upwards according to Fig. 1). Due to the relatively high speed of the knife rotor 17, a sufficient division of the material is nevertheless obtained.
As shown in fig. 1, the upper part 35 of the cutting apparatus housing 29 with the spreader mouth piece 31 is designed in one piece, which can be removed, so that the knife rotor 17 is exposed. This makes it possible to use the harvester even in rainy weather, as there is no danger of clogging the outlet with soft harvest material from the cutting device. The harvester can thus be used in practically all kinds of wet conditions.
The shown and described embodiment is only to be considered as an example, and the various parts of the machine can be constructively changed in several ways within the scope of the invention. The cutter's rotor 17 can be driven with a separate motor, e.g. an internal combustion engine. The term "knives" should also be understood as relatively thin flat iron arms. A rotor 17 with such dividing means can be used with advantage when the harvest is very soft. In this case, the counter-holding knives 27 should be swung away, so that no clogging occurs in the cutting apparatus.
