Description
Baneanordning for sanitære masker. Track device for sanitary masks.
This invention relates to a carrying device for sanitary masks consisting of a thin support plate to carry a layer or pad of filtering material such as cotton, wool or textile cloth as well as devices to hold the parts in position over the wearer's mouth and nostrils. The device is characterized principally in that the carrier is a plate with a single opening extending downwardly from its upper edge to form both a nasal cavity and a mouth opening and wherein a strap of flexible non-metallic material extends across the opening at an intermediate point of its height for forming the partition between the nasal cavity and the mouth opening and pressing said layer or pad of filtering material under the nostrils. The flexible deformable strap is formed in one with a headband adapted to be passed around the back of the wearer's head and thus to hold the mask in position during use against the wearer's face. The tension of the part of the strap which forms the deformable flexible part is adjustable independently of the tension in the part of the band which forms the headband. The strap can be passed through a pair of holes in each side of the plate and the part of the strap which extends between the pairs of holes on each side of the plate and is passed around a nearby edge part of the plate.
Sanitary masks according to the invention can be made so that the filter plate can be renewed when this is necessary. In such constructions, the support part can be made of a rigid but deformable material, e.g. an aluminum plate or a plastic material or the filter plate. the eventuality can be permanently attached to the carrier part, which can be made of a cheap material, e.g. cardboard.
The invention can be implemented in various ways, but two particular embodiments will be explained as examples and are shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 er et frontriss av masken. Fig. Fig. 1 is a front view of the mask. Fig.
2 er en del av et riss i en endret utførelse 2 is part of a drawing in a modified embodiment
for fastgjøring av filterplaten og bæredelen. Fig. 3 er et frontriss av en annen utførelsesform. for fixing the filter plate and the carrier part. Fig. 3 is a front view of another embodiment.
By the one in fig. In the embodiment shown in 1, the support plate is in the form of a mainly U-shaped support plate 1 which is made of a thin plate of aluminum or similar material. Towards the upper ends of each of the U's branches are placed a pair of holes 2,3 and in connection with each hole there is a slot 4 which extends from the hole out to the nearest outer edge of the plate 1 for setting an elastic strap 5. This is passed through each of the slits 4 so that the part 6 for the strap or band extends across the upper part of the plate 1, as it is passed through the hole 2 on each side of the plate and backwards to come out through another hole 3 further down where it forms a part that will hereafter be called the headband 7. The friction of the strap 5 through the two hills 2, 3 on each side of the plate 1 is such that the tension of the part of the strap that forms the headband 7 can be varied without this affecting the tension of the part 6 of the strap which extends across the upper part of the U-shaped carrier plate 1.
The filter plate 8 of cotton cloth is held in position in relation to the plate 1 by means of a pair of backwards bent ears 9 which proceed from the two lower corners of the plate.
When the mask is in position on the wearer's face, the two ends 10 of the U-shaped support plate 1, which extend past the elastic strap, will come into contact with the wearer's face on either side of the nose, so the part of the filter plate part 11 that lies between them, are pressed tightly against the wearer's nostrils. The elastic strap part 6 holds the filter plate in position between the nose and the upper lip and is flexible and adjustable so that it forms a movable but firm support for the plate's nose part 11. Filtered air can be drawn through the plate 8 into the wearer's mouth through a mouth opening 12 which is formed in the space between the elastic strap 6 and the lower part of the U-shaped plate 1.
With the explained construction, the filter plate 8 can be replaced when it has become clogged or less suitable, by bending up the ears 9 at the bottom of the mask and inserting a new plate and then bending the ears back into position.
Denne klemme skyves bare over bæreplaten og filterplaten. In a modified embodiment shown in fig. 2, the filter plate is held in position by means of a clamp 13 at each lower corner of the carrier plate 1. This clamp is simply pushed over the carrier plate and the filter plate.
Fig. 3 viser en annen utførelsesform. Fig. 3 shows another embodiment. In this case, the U-shaped carrier plate 20 is made of cardboard or similar material and the filter plate 21 can be permanently connected thereto, e.g. with booklet staples 22 or similar. With this construction, it is not practical to place slits between the strap holding holes and the sides of the plate, but instead oblong openings 23, 24 are arranged in the branches of the U-shaped carrier plate 20 and an elastic strap or a band 25 is passed through the upper opening 23 in each branch of the plate rearwards and passed round the near outer edge of the plate and through the lower opening 24 on either side of it in the same direction as through the upper opening 23, after which the strap or band extends away from the plate to form the headband 26.
This device also produces sufficient friction between the elastic strap and the opening of the plate, so that the part 27 of the elastic strap which extends across the upper part of the carrier plate can be adjusted so that the tension can be fixed and varied unaffected by variations of the headband 26 .
