Abstract

The mechanism actuates a row of windows, partic. in a greenhouse roof, each window hinging about an axis on a frame. It has for each window one or more opening bars hinged to an adjusting rod common to the row of windows and absorbing axial pull and thrust forces. Each window has a guide bar hinging on the greenhouse frame as the window hinges and coupled to the opening bar at the lower end. The axes of the windows (4) in the row are at right angles to the adjusting rod (8), while the guide bars (6) hinge on an axis on the frame (2) near the window axes. Window, opening and guide bars form a triangle of constant shape during the hinging movement, the lowest corner of which is formed by a hinge axis (30) for the linkage from the adjusting rod. the opening and guide bars engage with this hinge axis.
