Abstract

The mill has two working passages and intermediate grading, with a vertical driven shaft (1). Worck can take place in two stages, with intermediate separation by means of a sieve. Drive can be by wind or water power, engine or electric motor, there being a series of round ribbed discs (12-14, 20, 21). Both driven and stationary discs are in two halves for ease of assembly. The vertical shaft is supported in a ball-bearing (2) absorbing both radial and thrust loads, mounted on a hinging beam (4) suspended at one end from an adjustable coil spring (6, 7).
