Abstract

The pump has an axial flow impeller and an outlet at right angles to the axis of the inlet. In the part of the housing above the impeller (3) a branch (9) joining tangentally onto the outside of the housing (1) forms the outlet, and one or more spiral stepped blades extend downstream from the impeller, their inlet edges running roughly in the flow direction, while their outlet edges are at right angles to the axis of the inlet, at the level of the outlet branch.
