Abstract

The vacuum cleaner for floor covering comprises a movable (8) unit with a suction hose and suction tube. The unit contains compartments (9-11) for cleaning liquid (24) dirty water (9), and drive mechanism (10). The hose is connected with the dirty water chamber and there is a supply line for cleaning liquid extending from the cleaning liquid compartment (11) and connected to the hose and tube. The compartments (11, 9) may hold removable containers (23) for clean and dirty liquid respectively. The drive mechanism comprising liquid pump (12) and vacuum pump (13) may be a compact interchangeable unit. The vacuum pump suction may be connected to the dirty water compartment. The outlet of the line may terminate in a spray nozzle.
