Abstract

892,658. Cleaning floors, windows, &c. INSTITUTTET FOR PRODUKTUDVIKLING. May 16, 1960 [May 16, 1959], No. 17232/60. Class 138 (1). A machine for the wet cleaning of floors, walls, windows, &c., and of the kind comprising a portable unit including a container for cleaning liquid, and a pump for discharging the liquid on the surface to be cleaned, and a suction means for 'withdrawing the used liquid from the surface to a filtering device, is provided with a mouthpiece 1 connected by a hose 2 to the suction means, and the cleaning liquid is pumped through a pipe 3 within the hose 2 to a manifold 5 to be discharged under pressure through inclined nozzles 6 on to the surface to be cleaned. The surface is cleaned by the inpact of the jets of cleaning liquid thereon and the soiled liquid is drawn by the suction means through a passage 8 around the periphery of the mouth-piece 1, and'into the suction hose 2. Supporting rollers 10 maintain the lower edges of the mouth-piece 1 'slightly raised from the surface to be cleaned.
