Abstract

The storage and gasification system is for fluids with low boiling point such as liquefied natural gas, and is mounted entirely on one or more floating vessels. One or more of the vessels are connected to the quay by flexible high-pressure unions, and they can be equipped with ballast tanks so as to keep the draught constant when loading or discharging. The union can consist of a bridge-'iece with a flexible high-pressure coupling to the quay, and a further one to the vessel, and one of the couplings at least can also be arranged to allow movement in the lengthwise direction. The couplings can comprise bellows or hoses in parallel.
