Abstract

The machine cuts out and transports a block of silage and has a frame fixed to a tractor and incorporating a horizontal cross-member to which a number of parallel teeth are fixed. A vertical section extends upwards from the cross-member, carrying near the top a guide for a slide in which a cutting spade works up and down. The vertical section (5) also support a mechanism (34) movable up and down and having ejectors (55) which can be coupled to a drive. This discharges silage from the block supported on the machine. The ejectors can act against the top of the block, and the mechanism can be indexed downwards in stages. It can rest on the top of the block and sink by gravity.
