Abstract

The machine feeds bottles into and withdraws them from a rotary washing machine. It comprises a table (17) driven by a motor and equipped with conveyor chains (12) and guides for the bottles. A bar mechanism, with bars curved at the top, is moved to and fro by a pneumatic ram, so that the passage for bottles to be washed is opened and shut, thus synchronising their placement in the racks. This allows the rings to descent onto them which transport them to the washing machine. The motor can be arranged to stop when the support (5B) moves from an upper position (A1) to a lower one (A2), while the rings leave the bottles clean on the chains. It restarts when a second support starts to turn through 180 deg., so that the bottles remain standing.
