Abstract

The container (1) has rear wheels capable of receiving a wheel assembly (10, 13) at the front. The rear wheels are carried on the outsides of the longitudinal container support beams. The single front wheel (12) assembly can be fitted by inserting its vertical pivot shaft (10) in a tube (8) of the container. The arrangement is such that, at the rear, te container rests on the ground whilst its forward end can be lowered by a winch (4) from its raised position on to the front wheel assembly. The rear wheels and/or the front wheels may have a width greater than their diameter. The tube is pref. provided with a carrier plate (9) capable of resting on a bearing on the front wheel assembly.
