Abstract

The arrangement is of the type in which the pneumatic stabilisation mechanism (34, 35, 38, 41, 42) provides a force tending to counteract the lateral veering movement occuring when tracking through a bend. The air pressure providing the counteracting force is automatically controlled by the vehicle such that it increases with increasing vehicle load. Of the two relatively movable elements, one element (18) carries a curved cam (34) and the other element (21) a pressure member (35) engaging the cam face and exerting a pressure which is proportional with the vehicle or axle load. The pressure element may be actuated by a piston/cylinder assembly (38).
