Abstract

1,034,830. Controlling clutches. MOSKOVSKY ZAVOD MALOLITRAZHNYKH AUTOMOBILEI. Aug. 29, 1963, No. 34181/63. Heading F2L. A clutch is disengaged by an hydraulic motor 2 having a piston rod 3 operatively connected to a lever 5 having an abutment 12 actuating the clutch throw-out bearing 13. The lever 5 is connected to the piston rod 3 by a pin carried by the lever passing through slots a in the forked end of a member 9 adjustably screwed on the piston rod 3 and retained in position by a lock nut. A spring 11 normally maintains the pin at the left-hand end of the slots a. When the clutch is engaged a clearance b is maintained between the throw-out bearing 13 and the abutment 12, the lost motion permitted by the slots a corresponding to the desired value of the clearance b, so that the clearance may be set with the piston retracted by moving lever 5 against the pressure of spring 11 until abutment 12 contacts the throw-out bearing 13 and then adjusting the member 9 upon the piston rod until the pin is at the right-hand end of the slots a.
