Abstract

The door panel has on the outer edges angle sections which in the shut position engage in angle strips on the structure so as to form a labyrinth seal. A heat-insulating layer (7, 7a) is fitted between the angle sections (2) and the door panel (2), and between the angle strips and their support, by which they are mounted on the structure. The layer can be of asbestos calcium silicate. The angle sections can be secured by screws (10) to the panel, and the strips can consist of two metal angle sections (15, 16), joined to each other by screws or nails. The advantage is that there is no heat transfer from door to angle sections, which would cause distortion and jamming of the sections and strips.
