Abstract

The machine is particularly for potatoes, having a cutter grille with a reciprocating ram thrusting the potatoes etc, through it. The ram (11) works in conjunction with a storage hopper (2), allowing delivery of a predetermined number of potatoes (15) from the hopper to the grille (10) on its return stroke. The grille can form the lower end of a shaft, in which the ram is moved up and down by a piston working in a cylinder, and to the side of which the hopper is attached. The latter is divided into compartments by an indexing components (8) bringing the compartments in succession into communication with the shaft.
