Abstract

A conveyor belt of synthetic or rubber matl. for feeding wood through a grinding device is covered on its upper surface with a cover plate having recesses on it wood supporting surfaces, tin bases of the recesses having apertures in alignment with holes in the conveyor belt to remove saw dust. The conveyor belt is reinforced with >=1 layers of textile net having polyester warp yarns extending in the longitudinal direction of the belts and polyamide weft yarns extending in the transverse of the belt. Saw dust can be easily removed through the holes in the belt, and the strength and resistance to deformation of the belt is increased.
