Abstract

The closure is particularly intended for containers, such as bottles, for gas-containing products and is of the type comprising a closure member (2) and valve seat (5). The seat portion (3) has a lower support ledge (4) and an upper seat (5) between which the closure member (2) is held. The closure member has a portion (6) projecting above the seat (5). The seat portion (3) is connected with securing means (8) via a flexible intermediate section (7) and a stop (9) is provided for the upper part (6) of the closure member. The securing means (8) may be in the form of a flange. the closure member may be spherical.
