Abstract
The gas inlet tube branches off into one or more pairs of branch pipes which are guided into a chamber. The open ends of each pair of branch pipes are directed opposite to one another along a straight line and the openings are at a certain distance from one another. A measuring line is led from a pressure gauge through the chamber walls and its open end is located between the open ends of the pair of branch pipes. Another measuring tube has its open end in an area inside the chamber where the motion of the gas is as small as possible. The chamber is connected to a gas outlet pipe which conveys the gas at the same velocity as through the inlet pipe. Branch pipes are provided as shown as (2) in the drawing.
