Abstract

Cylindrical articles with an inner peripheral groove at one of both ends, this groove forming a projection on the outside of the article, by moulding a preformed article with a part and an end part joined by a transition part, the plasticised preformed article being subjected to a radially directed deforming force acting from the inside of the end part on a part of the end part adjacent to the transition part. Gives the desired groove together with an extra part that forms a sharp transition between the groove and the main part. This prevents the displacement of a sealing ring situated within the groove when a tube part is pointed inside the article.
