Abstract

The shaver has a cutter blade with an opening, against one side of which a moving cutter member bears, and also first and second ventilation assemblies mounted separately but working together. One of them cools the electric drive unit, and the other sucks the hairs from the cutter member and collects them together. The first ventilation assembly can incorporate a fan (5) on the electric motor spindle (4), blowing air in from outside through the motor (1) and the drive mechanism (2). The second assembly can incorporate a blower (6) on the end of the motor shaft, sucking air from the blade (7) or the cutter member (3) into a removable sack (14) collecting the loose hairs, accommodated in a recess (8) in the shaver housing. The blower discharges the air to atmosphere.
