Abstract

The seat is rotatable about, and adjustable in height relative to, the vertical pillar. The seat is preferably pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis along its rear edge and capable of being secured in an approximately vertical position. A back rest may be provided, preferably pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis along its lower edge and capable of being secured in an approximately horizontal position. The seat may be carried by supports pivotable about the horizontal pivot axis, the supports bearing on stops fixed on the back rest, such that seat and back rest cannot hing away from one another.
