Mould for the prodn. of mouldings from plastics or similar material, which is pressed into the mould in the plastic state, has a part defining the space in which moulding is effected, this part being displaceable relative to the remaining part of the mould in order to enlarge the space, and an outlet opening of an air supply line situated at the height of the displaceable part. Deformations in the wall of a moulding, e.g., a peripheral groove around the end of a pipe piece, can be made rapidly and economically, without the need for reheating the moulding, or use of expensive jigs.
