Abstract
Cpds. of formula (I): (where R1 is 1-4C alkyl and R2 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl) are prepd. by reacting the corresp. 1-unsubstd. cpd. with R2NHCOOA (where A is Ph substd. by one or more electron-attracting gps., pref. pentachloro-, 2,4,5-trichloro, 2-chloro-6-carbamoyl- or pentabromophenyl), in the presence of base, pref. alkali(ne earth) metal hydroxide, carbonate or bicarbonate, or NEt3 or pyridine, pref. in an org. solvent. Cpds. (I) are plant protection agents, e.g. fungicides and mite ovicides.
