Odourising and flavouring compsns. which besides the usual components contain oxa-aldehydes where n=0, 1, 2 or 3. The odour of the aldehydes ranges from flowery to a fresh citrus. In an example 6-methyl-hept-5-ene-2-yl formate is mixed with distilled lemon peel condensate and used as flavouring agent for lemonade.
