Abstract

Conveyor chain link comprises a channel shaped metal member having the side members extended at each end and provided at the ends with apertures to allow for interconnection. The channel member is wider at one end than the other, so that the links can be interconnected by placing the narrower extension of one link inside the wider extensions of an adjacent link, with a pin through the aligned apertures. Plastics material, e.g. glass reinforced nylon, is cast about the metal member to form an integral platform extending on either side of the channel member the plastics extending over the narrower extensions, to form reinforcement, being omitted from between the wider extensions, but having reinforcing portions on the outer sides of the extensions.
