Developer compsn. for use in an inspection penetrant process comprises ethoxylated polyoxypropylene glycol (fusible wax) 2 lbs. sodium benzoate 5 lbs., wetting agent (ethoxylated ether alcohol urea complex) 28 g., rust inhibitor (sodium chromate) 17 g. The ingredients are dissolved in sufficient water to give conc. of fusible was of 0.1 - 10% wt. In use the developer solidifies and prevents bleaching and migration of the indications.
