Abstract

Building panel consisting of an inorg. filler material bonded together with an org. binder has a core layer of coarse granules bonded together to a material with an open structure, and a cover layer of material which is plastic or liquid during application to the core layer. Specif. the core layer consists of gravel or expanded along granules bonded together by a synthetic resin contg a finely divided inorg. material. Between the core layer and cover layer is situated an intermediate layer of plastic film, Al foil or a glass fleece. Panel has a low wt. per unit vol. and good acoustic and thermal insulation props. combined with low prodn. cost.
