Abstract
Cyclic cyclohexanone oxime prepn Prepn. comprises (a) circulating and acidic buffered aqs. reaction medium contg. NO3, H3PO4 and/or bisulphate between a hydroxylamine synthesis zone (I) and a cyclohexanone oxime synthesis zone (II); (b) catalytically reducing NO2 - in (I), with H2 in the presence of a Pd catalyst to form hydroxylamine, for use in (II); (c) separating cyclohexanone oxime; (d) adding NO2 in the form of HNO3 to the aqs reaction liquid for use in (I); (e) controlling the residence time of the circulating liquid in (I) by the pH of the hydroxylamine enriched circulating liquid discharged from (I); (f) regenerating the catalyst at an adjustable max. residence time by interrupting the control and transferring to a control of the supply of HNO3 in dependence on pH of the circulating liquid discharged from the residence time of the circulating liquid in the (I) being held at a min, and (g) returning to the control of the residence time in dependence on the pH and the HNO3 supply rate is again normal. The catalyst is regenerated by washing with the acidic buffered soln circulating in the process simultaneously.
