Abstract

Glass jars such as those used in continuous sterilising and pasteurising plants are made to assume an upright position by the inclusion of magnetically sensitivity material in their upper part. The top of the container is lifted by magnetic force sufficient for the former to assume a sloping position, whilst at the same time the top of the container is made to move in the same direction as the conveyor, but at a different speed, thus causing the container to tilt.
