Abstract

Regenerating flame, open hearth oven, is fed with cold natural gas in which part of the gas is incompletely burnt producing soot/gas mixture in the outer reaction chambers, connected to cladded mouth pieces. Water cooled jacket serves as support for the cladding. Jacket extends past outlet of cladding of mouth piece, its internal diameter being equal to that of cladding. Use: In regenerating ovens fed with natural gas or devices producing a luminous flame.
