Abstract

The unit (1) comprises an integral arrangement of a toilet cubicle (4) with a toilet (11) and sink (14), a shower cubicle (5), a first block-shaped frame (27) and a second block-shaped frame (42). The toilet has a water supply, flush (12) and a wastewater discharge. The shower has a mixer tap (21) with hot and cold water connections, a shower head (22) connected to the mixer tap and a shower tub (23) with a wastewater discharge (24). The first frame comprises a first set of four vertical columns (28-31) located in the corners of the sleeping space, a first support construction resting on the floor and supporting these columns and a first rectangular upper body with four horizontal upper beams connecting the top ends of the columns to each other. The second frame comprises a second set of four vertical columns (43-46) located in the corners of the block defined by the toilet and shower cubicles, a second support construction resting on the floor and supporting the second columns and a second rectangular upper body with four horizontal upper beams connecting the top ends of the second columns to each other. A bed cubicle (3) is included, comprising a bed space with a rectilinear support having a flat upper side, a vertical headboard and a vertical footboard. The size and height of the support are chosen so that it can support a mattress.

BEDROOM FURNITURE

The invention relates to a bedroom furniture, comprising: a bed unit in which a bed space is defined, comprising: a rectangular support with an at least more or less flat top surface, which support has such dimensions and is arranged at such a height, that it is adapted to carry a mattress; a vertical main plate; and a vertical foot plate.

In the vicinity of a bedroom there is usually a toilet and a shower. These are units that are usually included as separate functional spaces in the architectural construction.

It is an object of the invention to design a bedroom furniture such that the sleep function, the toilet function and the shower function are combined in a very practical and inexpensive manner.

It is a further object of the invention to realize this object with a bedroom furniture that is suitable for use in spaces with a limited floor area and in cases where the budget for realizing the said functionalities is limited, such as in the case of a holiday bungalow, a student room, a social housing space, and a simple hotel room.

In view of the above, the invention provides a bedroom furniture, characterized by a toilet space, comprising: a toilet with a water supply, flushing means (1 and a water drain) and a washbasin with at least one tap with a a water supply and a water drain, a shower room, comprising: a mixer tap which can be connected to a hot water connection and a cold water connection, a shower head connected to the drain of the mixer tap, and a shower tray with a water drain; frame comprising: four first vertical columns extending at the corner zones of the carriers, a first support structure supporting the first 15 columns and resting on the floor, and a first rectangular upper frame, comprising four horizontal upper beams that the upper end zones of the first columns connect with each other, a second spatially block-shaped frame, comprising: four second vertical columns which are arranged find at the corner zones of the block-shaped first space formed by the toilet space and the shower space; a second support structure that supports the second columns and rests on the floor; and a second rectangular upper frame, comprising four second horizontal upper beams connecting the upper end zones of the second columns; 30 which bedroom furniture is assembled into one unit.

The bed room and the first room can be integrated with each other, but they can be constructed separately from each other. For the sake of a sleek and attractive appearance and a reduction in construction costs, that embodiment is preferred in which two first columns are integrated with two correspondingly placed second columns; 3 the first support structure and the second support structure are integrated with each other; and the first upper frame and the second upper frame are integrated with each other.

According to a particular aspect of the invention, the bedroom furniture has the special feature that the first upper frame carries a first ceiling.

According to yet another aspect, the bedroom furniture has the special feature that the second upper frame carries a second ceiling.

A simpler construction and therefore cheaper to manufacture is a version in which the first and the second ceiling are integrated with each other.

The furniture is preferably embodied such that the first support construction comprises: a first rectangular bottom frame, comprising four first horizontal bottom beams, which connect the lower end zones of the first columns to each other.

For the same reason, preference is given to the embodiment in which the second support structure comprises: a second rectangular bottom frame, comprising four second horizontal bottom beams, which connect the lower end zones of the second columns to each other.

A further degree of integration and hence cost saving is realized with an embodiment in which a first lower beam is integrated with a correspondingly placed second lower beam.

A preferred embodiment of the invention has the special feature that the foot plate is at least a part of an inner wall, which forms a boundary of the first space, and the main plate extends to a height of at most (1.0 ± 0.2) m extends.

Optionally, in the above-described embodiment, the bedroom furniture according to the invention can be provided with a horizontal tabletop which extends at the upper zone of the main plate on the outside with respect to the carrier.

Depending on the desired load-bearing capacity of the table top, this can be supported on the ground by one or more legs. The tabletop can be fixedly arranged but can also be foldable or foldable by means of a hinge construction. When one or more legs 5 are used, they can assume a vertical position under their own weight both in the supporting operating position and in the non-supporting folded position, so that in the folded position the space occupied by the table with legs or legs is minimal. The legs can also be folded in and out in other known ways.

According to an important aspect of the invention, the bedroom furniture preferably has the special feature that the inner wall or the outer wall carries a toilet bowl and a flush control knob in the toilet space; the inner wall or the outer wall is hollow and accommodates a water reservoir for the toilet bowl, a water supply line for that water reservoir and a water discharge line for the toilet bowl.

In the case of a screen mounted on the inner wall and a hollow inner wall, the invention can advantageously be embodied such that the inner wall accommodates electrical wiring for the screen.

According to yet another aspect of the invention, the bedroom furniture can have the special feature that the inner wall or the outer wall carries on its inner side a washbasin with at least one tap; and the outer wall is hollow and accommodates at least one water pipe.

Very practical is an embodiment in which a mirror is arranged on the relevant wall above the sink.

According to yet another aspect, the piece of furniture according to the invention has the special feature that a table top 10 mounted on a wall is present in the toilet space.

Very practical and inexpensive to manufacture is an embodiment in which the tabletop is integrated with the sink.

An important optional aspect of the invention is that all electrical cables and water pipes on the underside of the furniture are provided with connecting means, such that they are connectable with complementary connecting means present on the floor, with which corresponding electrical means present in the floor cables and water pipes are connected. To this end, it is required that the floor of the room where the bedroom furniture is installed contain the electrical supply cables, the information cables (including fiber-optic cables included), the water supply pipes and the water discharge pipes and be accessible to a technician such that the above-mentioned connecting means of the furniture according to the invention can be coupled to the complementary connecting means, for example with the aid of plug connections and quick couplings. This aspect of the invention offers an attractive appearance in that the integrated bedroom furniture according to the invention is arranged, as it were, as an island without any visible connection to the environment in the room. In particular the bed space, which is preferably completely open on two sides and which is at least partially open at the head end, namely the space above the main plate, thus gives an optical impression of a large, light space.

The piece of furniture can furthermore comprise: lighting means which are arranged on the first upper beams. For example, small halogen spots can be placed scattered and directed such that the light intensity can be concentrated locally as desired, for example for realizing the function of a reading lamp in bed.

According to another aspect, with regard to these lighting means, the invention can have the special feature that the lighting means radiate upwards at least a part of the light, such that the ceiling of the room where the piece of furniture is situated can act as a secondary or indirect light source. The indirect light 15 can have various colors or can be generated in such a way that a user has a choice of different colors. It appears that depending on the mood or the desired mood of a user, different colors have a different influence.

In this connection it is also important that the lighting means comprise lamps which can be adjusted by the user to a desired illuminance by dimmers. This applies to both the direct lighting, such as the halogen lamps, and any indirectly operating light sources.

These indirect light sources in particular can be designed such that the lighting means comprise TL-30 tubes.

According to yet another aspect of the invention, the bedroom furniture comprises selection means for optionally connecting the screen to a television receiver, a personal computer, a wi-fi installation, a game computer, a DVD player, or the like.

The carrier can be a flat plate, which is provided with sufficient support for carrying one or more people.

Preference is given to an embodiment in which the carrier comprises a slatted base or more preferably a box spring unit.

Substantial embellishment of the appearance of the furniture is realized with an embodiment in which the furniture has the outer spatial main shape of a rectangular block with ribs each having the shape of a quarter cylinder; and the eight corner zones have the general shape of an eighth part of a sphere with the same radius of curvature as said cylinder.

This embodiment can preferably be designed such that the radius of the sphere is (270 ± 150) mm.

FIG. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 show a bedroom furniture 1, of which all eight corner zones 10 are rounded off in the shape of an eighth part of a sphere.

FIG. 8 shows a bedroom furniture 2, in which the corner zones are not rounded off, but are defined by the three ribs concerned, joining each other at right angles.

The bedroom furniture 1 comprises three functionally separated from each other, but according to the invention integrated into a unit, namely a bed unit 3, a toilet unit 4 and a shower unit 5.

In anticipation of the detailed description of the components and mutual coherence below, it is noted that in the configuration according to FIG. 1 the shower unit 5 is on the left and the toilet unit 4 is on the right. Depending on the placement conditions of the bedroom furniture, the toilet unit and the shower unit can also be exchanged. In this connection, reference is made to FIG. 10, in which the toilet unit 4 is on the left-hand side and the shower unit 5 is on the right-hand side of the bedroom furniture 1.

In this way, several parts can be positioned in a suitable way relative to other parts, depending on the design requirements.

The bed unit 3, in which a bed space 6 is detained, comprises: a substantially rectangular support 7 (see Fig. 2) with a substantially flat top surface (for example a flat plate or a slatted base), which 9 support is arranged at such a low height that it is arranged and intended for carrying a mattress 8 (see Fig. 2), a vertical main plate 9 and a vertical foot plate 10.

The toilet unit 4 comprises a toilet bowl 11 with associated provisions, an associated water reservoir 12, a flush operating button 13 (see Figs. 10 and 11), a washbasin 14 with a mixer tap 15 and a top-level of the washbasin 14 has a table 16 integrated therewith. A tap 15 is arranged in a corner zone of the edge of the washbasin 14. Below the table 16 there is a storage cabinet 18. A drain 19 is placed in the floor, so that the floor can be cleaned easily. The toilet unit 4 is accessible via an optional hinged, non-transparent door 20. For the sake of clarity, this door is not shown in the other figures.

The shower unit 5 comprises a mixer tap 21, not shown, a connection for hot water and a connection for cold water, a shower head 22 connected to the drain of the mixer tap via a water pipe, which head can be placed in any desired position. The shower head can be fixedly mounted on a wall or on the ceiling or be connected to a fixed connection via a flexible hose. The shower further comprises a shower tray 23 with upright walls and a water drain 24. The toilet unit 4 and the shower unit 5 are separated from each other by means of a sliding door 25. This can for instance be of a translucent design. A matt translucent panel 26 is located on the other side of the shower unit 5.

The floors of the shower room are molded as one monolithic unit with the floor of the toilet.

The bedroom furniture 1 comprises a number of frames integrated into a unit. These frames comprise columns which are defined by plate-shaped elements of suitable material, which are interconnected in corner zones, for example wood fiber board, MDF, reinforced plastic, or the like.

A first frame 27 comprises: four first vertical columns 28, 29, 30, 31, 5 extending on the corner zones of the carrier 7; a first support structure 32, which supports the first columns and rests on the floor, comprising four first horizontal lower beams 33, 34, 35, 36, which connect the lower end zones of the first columns 28, 29, 30, 31 to each other and to supporting the floor; and a correspondingly shaped first rectangular upper frame, comprising four first horizontal upper beams 38, 39, 40, 41 (see in particular Fig. 6). Furthermore, the furniture comprises a second, spatially block-shaped frame 42, comprising: four second vertical columns 43, 44, 45, 46, which are located at the corner zones of the block-shaped first bounded by the toilet unit 4 and the shower unit 5. space 47; A second support structure, comprising a second rectangular bottom frame, comprising four second horizontal bottom beams 66, 67, 68, 69 which connect the lower end zones of the second columns 43, 44, 45, 46 to each other. The second lower beam 69 is integrated with the first lower beam 35.

The first column 30 is integrated with the second column 46 and the first column 31 is integrated with the second column 43.

The foot plate 10 forms part of a hollow inner wall 48 which forms a separation of the bed unit 3 on the one hand and the toilet unit 4 and the shower unit 5 on the other hand. As shown in FIG. 3, the main plate 9 extends to a height of approximately 1 m.

The base plate 10 carries a flat screen 49.

A table top 49 is provided on the outside of the main plate 9, which table is supported in the zone of its outwardly projecting free edge by two 11 legs 50, 51.

The outer wall 51, like the inner wall 48, is hollow and is thus capable of accommodating the water reservoir 12, water lines 5 (not shown) and electrical lines.

The hollow inner wall 48 accommodates, inter alia, electrical lines for feeding the flat screen 59, signal lines intended for this purpose, water supply lines and water discharge lines for the tap 47 and the washbasin 14 and, as well as the hollow outer wall 51, electrical lines for lighting provisions.

As in particular FIG. 1 clearly shows, the washbasin, including washbasin 14 and table 16, is partially accommodated in a recess recessed in the hollow inner wall 48.

Light sources are provided in all three rooms, respectively of the bed unit 3, the toilet unit 4 and the shower unit 5. In particular, the top view according to Fig. 2, partly drawn in transparent view. 6 shows this aspect clearly. In the area of the main plate 9 there are three lamps 52, 53, 54. Next to the side beams 41, 37 are lamps 55, 56, above the shower room there is a lamp 57, above the toilet room there is a lamp 58, and above the sink 14, 16 there are lamps 58, 60.

Not shown are fluorescent tubes accommodated in beams and / or the ceiling, which substantially radiate upwards to the ceiling and thus indirectly illuminate the space in which bedroom furniture 1 stands.

The bedroom furniture 2 according to FIG. 8 has a general rectangular block shape. The bedroom furniture 1, on the other hand, has quarter-cylindrically rounded ribs and corner zones which have a corresponding shape of an eighth of a sphere with the same radius of curvature as the cylinder. In this embodiment, the relevant cylinder and the sphere have a radius of 270 mm. In the figures, the radius of curvature of the ribs of bedroom furniture 1 is indicated by R. This 12 radius of curvature R corresponds to the radius of curvature of the quarter sphere on the eight corner zones of the integrated bedroom 1.

FIG. 6 shows that the ceiling comprises a transparent panel 62 in the region of the center of the bed unit 3.

FIG. 7 shows that a fuse box 63 can be placed on the outside of the outer wall 51.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 12, there are 10 wardrobe hooks 64, 65 for hanging clothes.

Bedroom furniture as claimed in claim 1, wherein all electrical cables and water pipes on the underside of the furniture are provided with connecting means, such that they are connectable with complementary connecting means present on the floor, to which corresponding electric cables and water pipes present in the floor are connected. . 20. Bedroom furniture as claimed in claim 1, comprising lighting means which are arranged on the first upper beams. 21. Bedroom furniture as claimed in claim 20, wherein the lighting means radiate upwards at least a part of the light, such that the ceiling of the room where the furniture is situated can act as a secondary or indirect light source. 22. Bedroom furniture as claimed in claim 20, wherein the lighting means comprise fluorescent tubes. 23. Bedroom furniture as claimed in claim 11, comprising selection means for optionally connecting the screen to a television receiver, a personal computer, a wi-fi installation, a game computer, a DVD player, or the like. The bedroom furniture of claim 1, wherein the support comprises a slatted base. The bedroom furniture of claim 1, wherein the carrier comprises a box spring unit. A bedroom furniture according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the furniture has the external spatial main shape of a rectangular block with ribs each having the shape of a quarter cylinder; and the eight corner zones have the general shape of an eighth part of a sphere with the same radius of curvature as said cylinder. 27.
