Description

Korte aanduiding: Komvormige holte voor heupprothesen, in het bijzonder voor plaatsing zonder kit.
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een komvormige holte voor heupprothesen, in het bijzonder voor plaatsing zonder kit.
Heupprothesen omvatten in het algemeen een dij component die 5 bestemd is om, na resectie van de kop en van het dijbeen, ingebracht te worden in het dijbeen zelf, en die met behulp van zijn bolkop vastgezet wordt in den komvormige holte die op zijn beurt ingebracht wordt in het bot van het bekken, zodat het gewricht van het dijbeen aan het bekken wordt vervangen.
10 De dijcomponent wordt gevormd door een dun uitlopende steel waarvan het proximale gedeelte, d.w.z. het gedeelte dat bestemd is om te worden verbonden met de komvormige holte door middel van een verwijderbare kraag, bezit een gebied met grotere doorsnede dan in het distale gedeelte, zodat de dijcomponent in het kanaal van het dijbeen 15 wordt geblokkeerd.
In de praktijk is de komvormige holte bestemd om het gedeelte van het bot van het bekken te reconstrueren waarin de gereconstrueerde kop van het dijbeen terecht zal komen. Deze komvormige holte wordt in het algemeen vervaardigd door een halfbolvormig element, waarbij 20 op het buitenoppervlak daarvan antidraaiingsvleugels zijn aangebracht die bestemd zijn om te voorkomen dat deze holte, wanneer hij eenmaal in het bot van het bekken is ingebracht, een draaiing kan uitvoeren zodat de gereconstrueerde kop van het dijbeen zich binnenin bevindt.
De antidraaiingsvleugels zijn in het algemeen zo vervaardigd 25 dat ze zich uitstrekken vanaf het diametrale vlak van het halfbolvor-mige element, in radiale richting ten opzichte van dat vlak, waarbij ze dun toelopen met de pool van de komvormige holte.
Deze oplossing verhindert enerzijds de draaiing van de komvormige holte binnen het bot van het bekken, maar anderzijds kunnen, 30 omdat de komvormige holte schuin in het bot wordt ingebracht, de vleugels de plaats verlaten waarin de holte terechtgekomen is en dus de omgevende oppervlakken beschadigen.

Het komt echter dikwijls voor dat het inbrengen van de komvor- mige holte in schuine stand in het bot van het bekken juist de vleugels naar buiten de plaats drukt waarin ze opgenomen zijn, waarbij de omgevende weefsels worden beschadigd. Inderdaad eindigt de plaatsing 5 van de vleugels vanaf het middenvlak tot aan de polaire afplatting, met het dunner toelopen ervan, hierin dat ze een optimale vastzetting met het bot van het bekken waarborgen, maar anderzijds kunnen ze de plaats verlaten waarin ze vastgezet zijn.
De uitvinding heeft als voornaamste doel een komvormige holte 10 voor heupprothesen te realiseren waarvan de vleugels zo zijn vervaardigd dat op geen enkele manier de omgevende weefsels worden beschadigd, terwijl toch een volmaakte vastzetting van de komvormige holte in het bot van het bekken wordt gegarandeerd.
In het kader van dit doel dient de uitvinding een komvormige 15 holte voor heupprothesen te realiseren die zonder kit op zijn plaats gebracht kan worden.
De uitvinding heeft eveneens ten doel een komvormige holte voor heupprothesen te realiseren die een hoge betrouwbaarheid heeft, betrekkelijk eenvoudig te vervaardigen en voor een concurrerende 20 prijs.
De uitvinding heeft tot voorwerp een komvormige holte voor de reconstructie van het gewricht van het dijbeen aan het bekken, omvattend een halfbolvormig lichaam waarin een verwijderbare kraag kan worden ondergebracht, ingebracht wordt in dij component die op zijn 25 beurt ondergebracht is in het kanaal van dat dijbeen, welke komvormige holte aan zijn buitenzijde een aantal antidraaiingsvleugels omvat, met het kenmerk dat die vleugels zich uitstrekken in radiale richting vanaf een gebied in hoofdzaak in het midden van het buitenoppervlak van de komvormige holte, om te eindigen in een gebied van deze holte, 30 zonder die rand te bereiken.
Andere kenmerken en voordelen van de uitvinding zullen blijken bij lezing van een bij voorkeur toegepaste doch niet exclusieve uitvoering van de komvormige holte volgens de uitvinding, bij wijze van indicatie, doch niet beperkend weergegeven in de bijgaande tekening, 35 waarin:

De komvormige holte, in zijn geheel aangeduid door het verwij-zingscijfer 1, wordt gevormd dcror een halfbolvormig lichaam dat een 5 polaire afplatting 2 bezit en een aantal antidraaiingsvleugels 3, die zo zijn vervaardigd dat ze verlopen volgens radiale vlakken.
De bijzonderheid van de uitvinding ligt in het feit dat de antidraaiingsvleugels 3 een zodanige lengte hebben dat ze niet het diametrale vlak 4 van de komvormige holte 1 raken. In de praktijk verlo-10 pen de vleugels 3 vanaf een gebied in hoofdzaak in het midden op het buitenoppervlak van de komvormige holte 1, tot ze een zekere afstand vanaf de rand van die holte bereiken, d.w.z. vanaf het diametrale vlak 4.
Op deze manier kunnen. Tijdens de plaatsing van de komvormige 15 holte 1 in het bot van het bekken, zoals figuur 2 aangeeft, de antidraaiingsvleugels 3 op geen enkele manier het bot verlaten en dus eventueel de omgevende weefsels beschadigen.
Het buitenoppervlak van de komvormige holte is bij voorkeur uit poreus materiaal vervaardigd, zodat een optimale wederzijdse in-20 dringing van het bot van het bekken in deze holte mogelijk is, waarbij het mogelijk wordt om zo een heupprothese te verkrijgen die het beschadigde gewricht van de patiënt vervangt en volmaakt reconstrueert .
Figuur 2 geeft de plaatsing weer van de komvormige holte 1 in 25 het bot van het bekken, waarbij het verwijzingscijfer 5 een dijcompo-nent (steel) aanduidt die ingebracht wordt in een kanaal van het dijbeen en die bovenaan een verwijde vorm bezit.
Tussen de steel 5 en de komvormige holte 1 is een verwijderbare kraag 6 geplaatst. De kraag 6 eindigt in een bolkop 7 die te-30 rechtkomt in de komvormige holte 1 na tussenplaatsing van een halfbolvormig element 8 dat bestemd is om wrijving van de kop 7 van de verwijderbare kraag 6 in de komvormige holte 1 te voorkomen.
In de praktijk is vastgesteld dat de komvormige holte volgens de uitvinding volmaakt het gestelde doel bereikt, omdat hij het moge-35 lijk maakt een optimale weerstand te realiseren in het bot van het bekken, terwijl wordt verhinderd dat de antidraaiingsvleugels uit het bot raken, waarbij het voordeel is eventuele beschadigingen te voor- ‘ί 0 16 ü 7 - 4 - komen van de weefsels die de plaats omgeven waarin de komvaats omgeven waarin de komvormige holte ingebracht is.
De aldus ontworpen komvormige holte is vatbaar voor talrijke wijzigingen en varianten, die allemaal terugkeren in de uitvindings-5 gedachte; bovendien kunnen alle details worden vervangen door andere technisch equivalente elementen.
In de praktijk kunnen de gebruikte materialen, terwijl ze verenigbaar zijn met het specifieke gebruik, alsmede de afmetingen willekeurig zijn als functie van de eisen en van de stand der techniek.

Claims (4)

1. Komvormige holte voor de reconstructie van het gewricht van het dijbeen aan het bekken, omvattend een halfbolvormig lichaam waarin 5 een verwijderbare kraag kan worden ondergebracht, ingebracht wordt in dij component die op zijn beurt ondergebracht is in het kanaal van dat dijbeen, welke komvormige holte aan zijn buitenzijde een aantal anti-draaiingsvleugels omvat, met het kenmerk dat die vleugels (3) zich uitstrekken in radiale richting vanaf een gebied in hoofdzaak in het 10 midden van het buitenoppervlak van de komvormige holte (1), om te eindigen in een gebied (4) van deze holte, zonder die rand te bereiken .
2. Komvormige holte volgens conclusie 1, met het kenmerk dat het buitenoppervlak van het halfbolvormige lichaam vervaardigd is uit poreus 15 materiaal om een optimale cohesie mogelijk te maken van het bot van het bekken aan de komvormige holte (1).
3. Komvormige holte volgens conclusie 1, met het kenmerk dat elk van de antidraaiingsvleugels (3) lager uitloopt naar de polaire afplatting (2) van de holte (1) .
