Abstract

The greenhouse (1) has at least one window opening (8) which is left covered by a gauze cloth (11) when the window (9) is opened. This gauze cloth extends between the window and the frame it is set in, unfolding as the window is opened and collapsing as the window is closed. An Independent claim is also included for the gauze cloth.

Description

Department store with window cloth

The invention relates to a department store that comprises at least one window opening with a window cooperating therewith. The window has window edges, which in an open position of the window are spaced from 5 opposite frame walls of the frame. A mesh cloth is placed between the opposite edges of the window and the frame, which ensures that air can flow through the window opening, but stops insects.

A problem with the use of such mesh cloths is that they tend to protrude between the edges of the window and the frame when closing the window and become trapped. In the department store known from Dutch patent 1008995, the mesh cloth is designed for this purpose such that it hangs as a bag, in which a tension weight is included. When closing the window, the tension weight ensures that the mesh is pulled in.

The object of the invention is now to further improve this known department store 20 and, in particular, to enable a more economical design of the gauze cloth. This object is achieved with the invention, as characterized in claim 1. The adjustment ensures that the gauze cloth extends inwards from all frame edges and window edges in the direction 25, so that it cannot become trapped between the window and frame edges or beyond sticking out.

The measure of claim 2 is preferably applied. This ensures that the gauze fabric can move at most to a limited extent in wind and therefore does not wear out quickly as a result.

A suitable embodiment of the department store according to the invention is characterized in claim 3. The desired length of the base of the trapezium-shaped '012844 2 cloths is easy to calculate. In order to obtain the desired constriction, this length must be less than the circumference at the location of the fictitious surface, which is formed by joining the corresponding corners of the window and the frame.

Another suitable embodiment is characterized in claim 4. The elastic means can be elastic bands sewn into the cloth, but the measure as set out in claim 5 can also be suitably applied. The mesh cloth is then itself elastic and remains well stretched by itself and retracts appropriately when closing the window.

The invention also relates to and provides a gauze cloth which is apparently intended for a department store 15 according to the invention.

The invention will be further elucidated with reference to the annexed figures, in which a part of a roof of a department store is shown with a window, in which a gauze cloth according to the invention is used.

Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a first embodiment of the department store according to the invention.

Figure 2 shows a view corresponding with figure 1 of a second embodiment.

Figure 3 shows the department store of figure 2 with the window closed, from the inside.

It is noted that in the figures the lines drawn in the gauze cloth only indicate the surface and do not necessarily correspond to threads of the cloth.

Figure 1 of the department store 1 shows part of the roof 2. This roof 2 consists in a manner known per se of a gutter 3, a ridge 4 and rods 5 arranged between them. Windows 6 3 5 are accommodated between the rods.

Two window openings 8 are formed in the roof at regular intervals by receiving cross bars 7 on the spot between the adjacent rods 5. No solid glass is fitted above these cross bars 7, but below this rod. The window openings 8 formed above the cross bar 7 can be closed with a window 9 which hinges on the gutter 4 with a long side.

As can be seen from the figures, the window 9 shown here is double and can cover a double window opening 8. The central rod 10 extends between these window openings 8.

Mesh cloths 11 are provided to allow as much air as possible to flow through the window openings 8, but to prevent insects in the open position of the window 9. In the embodiment shown here, the double window opening 8 is provided with two gauze cloths 11, so that in the closed position of the window 9 no gauze cloth is trapped between the window 9 and the middle rod 10.

The mesh cloths 11 are in each case arranged between the opposite edges of the window 9 and the opposite frame of the window opening 8. In this context, frame is understood to mean the parts of the greenhouse construction surrounding the window opening 8.

The window 9 can be opened and closed in known manner with the aid of expansion logs 12, which are moved back and forth with an operating rod 13.

The mesh cloths 11 are designed in such a way that they have a constriction 14 between the opposite edges of the window 9 and the window frame. This ensures that, when the window is closed, the gauze screen 11 cannot protrude between the opposite edges of the window 30 and the frame and thus the gauze screen cannot be pinched and damaged.

With the gauze cloths 11 of figure 1, the constriction is obtained in that the cloth 11 does not contain details of elastic threads which are not shown in more detail. As a result, the fabric of the cloth 11 is itself elastic and retracts when the window 9 is closed, in order to prevent the cloth from becoming trapped between the edges of the window and the frame.

In the embodiment of the gauze cloth 15, as shown in figure 2, the constriction 19 is obtained by assembling this cloth 15 from two parts 16, 17, which are joined together by a seam 18. Each of the 5 parts 16, 17 has a trapezoidal shape, the base being joined together at the seam 18. The desired constriction 19 can be easily determined by a suitable length of the base. It is taken smaller than the circumference at the seam 18 of the surface determined by the angles on the hinge side of the window and the connecting lines 20 indicated by the dotted line in Figure 2.

As shown in Figure 3, the gauze cloths 15 in the folded condition with the window 9 closed, fall entirely within the periphery of the window 9, so that they are not pinched when the window is closed.

1. Department store comprising at least one window opening and a cooperating window, the window having window edges which, in an open position of the window, are spaced from opposite frame edges of the frame, a mesh cloth with the window edges and the frame edges are connected, which have a constriction between the opposite edges. 2. Department store as claimed in claim 1, wherein the gauze screen is at least substantially stretched in the open position of the window between the window edges and the frame edges. Department store according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the window and the window opening are rectangular, the window is hingedly connected to the window frame on one side and the gauze cloth is composed of two trapezoidal cloths connected to each other with their bases. Department store according to one of the preceding claims, in which the constriction is formed by elastic means connected to the cloth. Department store according to claim 4, wherein the elastic means incorporated in the cloth are elastic threads.
