Abstract
The cooling circuit consists of an evaporator (3), compressor (5), condenser (7), refrigerant reservoir (10) and a regulating mechanism (12) to maintain a fairly constant refrigerant pressure. The regulating mechanism is connected to an expansion valve (14) upstream of the evaporator (3). A signal line (15) connects the valve (14) with a temperature and/or pressure sensor (16). On leaving the condenser (7), the refrigerant is undercooled. Its pressure is maintained at a fairly constant value by the continuously running pump (17) and back pressure regulator (14), with surplus refrigerant being returned to the reservoir (10). Alternatively, a controllable pump could be used.
