Abstract
The object is to provide an elevator boarding detection system (1) capable of correctly detecting the user which is enabled by simplifying the setting of a detection area when the user is to be detected with a camera (12), thereby reducing the burden on the service man. According to one embodiment, an elevator system includes: image capturing means (12) configured to capture an image of a certain range, which is between the proximity of a door of a car (11) and a floor (15), when the car (11) arrives the floor (15); detection area setting means (22a) configured to detect a sill (A3) between the car (11) and the floor (15) included in the image captured by the image capturing means (12), and to set a detection area on the image on the basis of the sill detected; user detection means (22d) configured to detect a user focusing on a motion of a person and/ or an object within the detection area using a plurality of chronologically consecutive images captured by the image capturing means; and control means configured to control an open/ close operation of the door on the basis of a detection result from the user detection means.
