Abstract

This is a rack (1) for firing which holds a plurality of planar setters (7) by means of a setter holding portion in multiple stages in a vertical direction, and fires electronic ceramic elements in multiple stages. The setter holding portion is formed of a material made of any one of Si-SiC that contains 0.01 to 30wt% of Si, recrystallized sic, and Si3N4-SiC, and the setter holding portion holds each of the planar setters (7) in a state in which 70 to 100% of an outer circumference side surface thereof is exposed. With this arrangement, the rack for firing (1) is excellent in energy efficiency, mass-production efficiency, and thermal uniformity in each stage of multi-stage firing Figure 2
