The invention relates to methods for a single-run pre-extraction, extraction and fractionation of different polarity groups of compounds from a plant using a high-pressure fractionation method (HPF). A combination of static and dynamic high-pressure system using supercritical fluid CO2 with sequence of co-solvent mixtures (5 - 15 v/v%) and pressurized water is employed to fractionate the plant compounds under elevated pressures (100 - 300 bars) and selected temperatures (40? - 100?C). The extracts are analyzed and operating conditions are optimized by the said methods to obtain final active products. The HPF method is proposed for extraction and fractionation of other plants or plant matrices for rapid recovery of high-value and active plant metabolites. Figure 17
