Abstract
The present invention relates to a flower essential oil extraction method, comprising the steps of: (a) placing flowers in a high-pressure treatment vessel; (b) introducing pressurized fluids to the high-pressure treatment vessel and maintaining for a preset duration, then lowering down to atmospheric pressure; (c) placing the flowers that were subjected to the high-pressure treatment in an extraction tank to obtain extracts extracted by means of low-polar solvent extraction. According to the flower essential oil extraction method of this invention, flowers need no dehydration procedure, energy costs can be reduced while retaining more ingredients. The flower essential oil extraction method of this invention breaks through the technical bottleneck of conventional extraction methods of flower essential oil in that the flowers must be dried because of the high moisture contained in flowers, or the subsequent oil-water separation problem, thereby simplifying the fabrication process and shortening the process time. In addition, the flower essential oil extraction method of this invention can save energy consumption of drying and extraction to effectively reduce manufacturing costs and improve industrial competitiveness.
