Abstract
A dust collecting device (1) includes a plurality of dust collection bodies (2) arranged apart from each other such that an air passage (20) is provided between the duct collection bodies (2) to allow air to pass through the air passage (20), the duct collection bodies (20) being charged when friction acts on the dust collection bodies (20), and one or more friction bodies (3) that rub against the dust collection bodies to cause the dust collection bodies to be charged. At least one of two of the dust collection bodies that are located opposite to each other with respect to the air passage includes one or more projections (21) that project out toward the air passage. In the dust collecting device according to an embodiment of the present invention, in a frictional charging type dust collecting device, a non-uniform electric field can be produced around a charged body to induce a gradient force, and a particle collection rate can be improved.
