Abstract

To provide a water-based organic zinc rich paint composition having excellent workability at the time of mixing a main agent, a curing agent, and a pigment, excellent precipitation resistance of zinc dust after mixing, a long available time (pot life) after mixing, and excellent rust prevention properties and strength (flexibility) of a coating film. [Dissolution Means] A water-based organic zinc rich paint composition including an epoxy resin emulsion as a main agent, a polyamine as a curing agent, and a pigment containing zinc dust, wherein the pigment contains the zinc dust and fine powder of at least one of talc, titanium dioxide, and silica, the fine powder having an average particle diameter of from 5 to 800 nm; the polyamine is a water-soluble polyamine; and a content of the fine powder is from 0.01 to 1 part by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the zinc dust, is disclosed.
