THE INVENTION RELATES TO AN AQUEOUS POLYMER DISPERSION COMPRISING POLYMER PARTICLES STRUCTURED AS CORE/SHELL, CAPABLE OF BEING OBTAINED BY EMULSION POLYMERIZATION OF AT LEAST TWO MONOMER COMPOSITIONS 1 AND 2 IN AT LEAST TWO STAGES, THE SAID AT LEAST TWO MONOMER COMPOSITIONS 1 AND 2 GIVING POLYMERS P1 AND P2 HAVING RESPECTIVE GLASS TRANSITION TEMPERATURES TG1 AND TG2, WITH TG1 BEING LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 30°C AND TG2 BEING GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 80°C AND THE DIFFERENCE TG2 – TG1 VARYING FROM 50 TO 200°C, AND THE SAID POLYMERIZATION BEING CARRIED OUT IN THE PRESENCE OF AT LEAST ONE PHOSPHATE ANIONIC SURFACTANT PRESENT: A) EITHER SOLELY IN THE POLYMER PHASE P1, B) OR IN THE POLYMER PHASES P1 AND P2, PROVIDED THAT, IN THIS CASE, THE PHOSPHATE ANIONIC SURFACTANT IN P1/PHOSPHATE ANIONIC SURFACTANT IN P2 RATIO BY WEIGHT IS GREATER THAN 1, THE LEVEL BY WEIGHT OF THE SAID PHOSPHATE ANIONIC SURFACTANT RANGING FROM 0.5 TO 5% BY WEIGHT, PREFERABLY FROM 0.5 TO 3% BY WEIGHT AND MORE PREFERABLY STILL FROM 1 TO 3% BY WEIGHT, WITH RESPECT TO THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF MONOMERS OF THE SAID DISPERSION, WITH THE SAID PHASE P1 REPRESENTING A LEVEL RANGING FROM 70 TO 90% BY WEIGHT OF THE TOTAL OF P1 + P2 AND P2 REPRESENTING A LEVEL RANGING FROM 10 TO 30% BY WEIGHT OF THE TOTAL OF P1 + P2.A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SAID DISPERSION, A COMPOSITION FORMED OF AQUEOUS POLYMER DISPERSIONS COMPRISING THE SAID DISPERSION, A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SAID COMPOSITION, A COATING OR TREATMENT COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAID DISPERSION, ITS USE IN COATINGS OR FOR THE TREATMENT OF NATURAL OR SYNTHETIC FIBRES, THE COATING THUS OBTAINED AND, FINALLY, THE SUBSTRATE COATED WITH SUCH A COATING ARE ALSO CONCERNED.
