Abstract
An ignition apparatus (3) for a sintering machine includes a fuel gas passage (8) that extends in a width direction of a pallet (1) of the sintering machine; air passages (9) that extend at both sides of the fuel gas passage (8) with the fuel gas passage disposed therebetween; a burner (3b) in which multiple pairs of nozzle holes (20, 20', 21, 21') are arranged in a longitudinal direction of the fuel gas passage (8) and the air passages (9) with intervals therebetween, the multiple pairs of nozzle holes (20, 20', 21, 21') opening in directions such that jet flow of fuel gas ejected from the fuel gas passage (8) merge with jet flow of combustion air ejected from the air passages (9); and a burner hood (24a) that covers a combustion atmosphere below the nozzle holes (20, 20', 21, 21'). The burner (3b) is formed by welding a stainless steel plate.
