Abstract

THERE IS CONCERNED BOTH A METHOD AND A DEVICE FOR PRODUCING SHAPED PARTS COMPRESSED FROM A NON-FLOWABLE MIXTURE CONSISTING OF CHIPS OR SHAVINGS AND/OR FIBROUS MATERIALS MIXED WITH HEAT-HARDENABLE BINDING AGENT. ACCORDING TO THIS METHOD PART OF THE HEAT ENERGY REQUIRED FOR THE HARDENING IS PRODUCED BY HOT GASES OR FUMES (STEAM) INTRODUCED INTO THE MIXTURE IN THE COURSE OF THE PRESSING PROCEDURE. THE HOT GASES OR FUMES ARE CHIEFLY INTRODUCED SLANTINGLY IN RELATION TO THE PRRESSING DIRECTION.(FIG. 1)
