A CRT CHARACTERISTIC MEASURING SYSTEM IS DISCLOSED WHICH COMPRISES A PLURALITY OF CAMERAS 12, A VIDEO PROCESSOR 30, A MONITOR 40, A CPU 60, A MAGNETIC FIELD CONTROLLER 50, A SELECTOR 20, AN OUTPUT PORTION 70 SO AS TO SIMULTANEOUSLY CALCULATE LANDING STATES WITH RESPECT TO TIME AT VARIOUS POINTS OF A CRT UNDER TEST USING THE SELECTOR UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE CPU, AND TO MEASURE THE AMOUNT OF THERMAL DRIFT, THEREBY REDUCING THE MEASUREMENT TIME AND REALIZING PRECISE MEASUREMENT.
