Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable high-accuracy calibration by controlling the optical signal output of a stabilized light source to a constant level until calibration is completed. CONSTITUTION:A light source 11 and a light source driving power circuit 12 form the stabilized power source 10. A standard power meter 19 measures a calibration output and the optical connectors 28 and 29 are disconnected to replace the power meter 22 with a power meter 22 to be calibrated and a signal processing and control circuit 17 control the optical signal output of the stabilized light source 10 at the constant level until the calibration is completed so that the output of an optical output circuit 16 does not vary. When the light output varies, the quantity of the variation is displayed on a monitor display device 27.
