A LIGHT-COLORED, DRY SURFACTANT MIXTURE BASED ON SALTS OF ?-SULFOFATTY ACID METHYL ESTERS (MONOSALTS) AND CORRESPONDING SALTS OF ?-SULFOFATTY ACIDS (DISALTS) WHICH ARE AT LEAST PREDOMINANTLY DERIVED FROM C12-18 FATTY ACIDS, IN WHICH THE MIXTURE OF MONO- AND DISALTS IS PRESENT AS A SUBSTANTIALLY ANHYDROUS MASS WHICH MELTS OR AT LEAST SOFTENS TO A PLASTIC STATE AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 150?C AND CAN BE PROCESSED BY SHAPING AND WHICH, FOR AN ACTIVE SUBSTANCE CONTENT (AS CONTENT; SUM OF MONO- AND DISALTS) OF AT LEAST 75% BY WEIGHT, HAS A MIXING RATIO OF MONO- TO DISALTS IN THE RANGE FROM 90 : 10 TO 40 : 60 PARTS BY WEIGHT, IS OBTAINED BY EVAPORATION OF AT LEAST THE PREDOMINANT WATER CONTENT OF AQUEOUS PASTES OF BLEACHED MONO- AND DISALTS.
