Abstract

The invention relates to a method for making a relief strip, comprising the steps of etching the strip, causing the etched strip to pass through a coloring line, a silicone solution metering unit, to meter a silicone solution on the strip etched portion, introducing the strip into a mold having a plurality of mold cavities of different cross-sections and spacings, therefrom a vacuum metered ink amount is ejected and caused to enter the recess of the material, and causing the strip to further pass through an infrared oven, and finally brushing the strip

Description

«PROCEDURE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A COLORED TAPE IN RELIEF» The subject of the present invention is a method for the production of a colored ribbon in relief. Known are, in particular, the techniques of a process for the production of colored ribbons in relief that is carried out according to the following modalities. The incision is made with an eccentric press of 20/30 tons, in a polypropylene support of size 9.5 millimeters, with a thickness of 400 microns or in a polyamide support of the same dimensions. The eccentric press comprises a die holder, on which a die is fixed, which has a plurality of composable letters with dimensions of 4.5 millimeters in length and with the pointed end. The composition of a set of letters allows to form the text that the machine must reproduce. Then a regularization of the incision pressure is made and the incision thickness is preferably 80/90 microns. The incised material is taken to a coloring line, traditionally called "COLORING MACHINE" (coloring machine). The tape comes to pass under a distributor of liquid and colored resin, based on pigmented polyethylene chlorosulfonate put in solution, with 20% of the dry extract, with an aromatic solvent. A suitable scraper removes excess ink from the flat part of the belt and, successively, the belt passes in an infrared oven and dries. A system of rotating brushes at the exit of the oven allows the complete cleaning of the residues remaining on the flat part of the belt. We have thus, as a final result, a part inked inside the letters and the rest perfectly transparent. The colored mass is composed of: Polyethylene chlorosulfonate paste 618 P CaC03 163.5 P Titanium thioxide 94 P Pigment 63 P Catalyst 1/5 P Aromatic solvent 60 P Total 1000 p To 1 kilogram of this base is added 500 grams of aromatic solvent.
The base for the paste is composed of: Polychloride chlorosulfonate [chlorosulfonate] 251 p Magnesium oxide 200 37 P PE 200 7, 7 P Pol AC 616 4, 9 P Tinuvin 0, 6 P Aromatic solvent 698, 8 P Total 1000 p However, with the use of a method of the type described, the fixing of the ink on undesired parts of the tape is also registered. The object of the present invention is therefore to establish a method for the production of a colored tape in relief in order to avoid the fixing of the ink on the undesired part of the tape, by means of the use of a "realizing" type treatment. (realization). In this field of specialization, a particular objective of the present invention is to establish the specific chemical composition of the ink, particularly suitable for obtaining greater resistance to abrasion, as well as aging caused by atmospheric agents and ultraviolet rays. These objects are achieved in the present invention having as its object a process for the production of a tape colored in relief and comprising a first phase of incision of the tape, characterized in that it comprises a further step of passing the incised tape at 5 a coloring line, and by means of a solution dispenser of type "realizing" (realization), to dose that solution on the incised part of the tape, a phase of introduction of the tape inside a die having a variety of cavities of different sections and spaces, and in which ink was introduced under vacuum and dosed in such a way as to enter into the cavities of the material, a step of passing the tape in an infrared oven, and a phase of planing of the tape. The details, the further advantages and the other Important features of the present invention will become more apparent upon examination of the preferential establishment of the method of the invention, which gives a non-limiting example of possible variants of the invention. It is taken into consideration that according to the method of the present invention, the incision of the tape is carried out in accordance with traditional methods. In particular, the incision is made, with a eccentric press of 20/30 tons, in a polypropylene support of size 9.5 millimeters, with a thickness of 400 microns or in a polyamide support of the same dimensions. The eccentric press comprises a die holder, on which a die is fixed, which has a plurality of composable letters with dimensions of 4.5 millimeters in length and with the pointed end. The composition of a set of letters allows to form the text that the machine must reproduce. A regularization of the incision pressure is then applied and the incision thickness is preferably 80/90 microns. After making the incision of the tape with the described system, a step is made in a coloring line, by means of a solution dispenser of type "realizing" (realization) on the part of the tape in which there was an incision. This operation serves to deposit a quantity of "primer" (priming paint) equal to one micron thick on the entire flat area of polypropylene or polyamide. This treatment serves to prevent the mass of ink from sticking to the flat surface, because that is the prerogative of the "primer" (priming paint).
The tape then enters a die having cavities of different sections and spaces, and in which ink was introduced under vacuum and dosed in such a way that it enters the cavities of the material. The same die has a nozzle for recovering excess ink, which, under suction, returns to the container under vacuum. This operation in closed cycle allows not to modify the viscosity of the ink. This phenomenon is due to the fact that the ink is always in motion. The tape then passes in an infrared oven, and at the outlet of the oven the tape receives a treatment on both sides, by means of a brush system. The colored mass is composed of: 1 Base of polyethylene chlorosulfonate 523 p 2 WN3 43.8 p 3 Yolk resin 17.7 p 4 Titanium thioxide 100 p Resin 828 17.7 p 6 Pigment 77 p 7 Aromatic solvent 220.8 p Total 1000 p To kilogram of this base is added kilogram of aromatic solvent. The base for the colored paste is composed of: 1 Polyethylene chlorosulfonate 848 p 2 Resin Ci8 50.5 p 3 Pol AC 616 27 p 4 Titanium 70.3 p Irganox 2.1 p 6 Tinovin P 2.1 p Total 1000 p To 285 grams of this base is added 715 grams of aromatic solvent. We note first of all that the technological innovation of the production process described consists of the "realizing" type treatment, carried out to avoid the fixing of the ink on the unwanted parts of the tape. A second technological advantage is due to the construction of the automatic dosing head with continuous draft and recycled as well as the cleaning system of the two sides. To finish, we noticed that the specific chemical composition of the ink allows to obtain a greater resistance to abrasion, as well as aging caused by atmospheric agents and ultraviolet rays. From the above it is clear how the invention meets the proposed objectives
