Abstract

Se describe un aparato de fusion continua para un metal de bajo punto de fusion. El aparato incluye un cuerpo (5) principal de horno de fusion que forma una camara (6) de combustion rodeada por un forro refractario, un crisol (1) formado con un orificio (2) de enrosque hembra en una posicion adecuada de un cuerpo y alojado en la porcion central de la camara de combustion, un quemador (8) proporcionado sobre una porcion de pared lateral del cuerpo (5) principal del horno de fusion para calentar el crisol (1) en la camara (6) de combustion y un receptaculo (6, 13) para recibir un bano fundido que fluye a traves del orificio (2) de enrosque hembra del crisol (1). En el aparato de fusion continua, el empleo de un metodo de fusion del calentador de quemador del tipo que no es costoso, es facil de manejar y de mantener, con una reduccion exitosa de perdida de oxidacion que era la desventaja del tipo de quemador. Ademas, se puede evitar exitosamente la generacion de oxido de aluminio nativo sobre la superficie de pared del horno debido a la reaccion del bano fundido de aluminio y la pared del horno.
